Change Is Opportunity

“One of the greatest strengths that lies at the core of an entrepreneur’s mindset is an internal locus of control.  That simply means they believe that events that occur in their lives result primarily from their own behavior and actions.  Rather than focusing on what they don’t have, entrepreneurs take what they have and make it work.”

The beauty and simplicity of this video and this brilliant quotation from the minds of the Mindset Community sum up first two great messages of the second lesson.  The third is a powerful customer orientation.   The entrepreneurs of lesson two emphasized a passion for solving peoples problems and for making their lives better.  The time to test products with customers and assess customer needs is as early as possible.  Ideally, it should come before raising money, making a business plan, or talking to investors.

So far, I have to say that I am a big fan of the course and recommend it to everyone I think might be remotely interested.  It is concise and gives you perspectives from many different entrepreneurs, not just the authors of the course. Plus, the course has a companion site, the Mindset Community,  that provides you a forum to communicate with the course’s designers, other students, and even some of the entrepreneurs whose experiences make up the meat of the course.
