The Kauffmann Foundation is teaming up with Entrepreneurial Leaning Initiative to make sure that you answer “Yes!” to the first question and to know where to go for the second. They have created a “self-paced online learning program” to allow you to awaken your inner entrepreneur and they’re giving away 250 scholarships to the first qualified applicants. Yes, that means free, perfect for an on-a-shoestring start-up budget. I’m going to apply because I’ll bet my inner-entrepreneur is a bad motha sucka, kind like an entrepreneurial Godzilla ready to gobble up Tokyo with Shanghai for dessert.
If you’re not familiar with the Kauffman Foundation then you need to dial in because it is a fantastic resource for the entrepreneur. I have already written about their study of entrepreneurialism, done in partnership with the Economist, no less. They donate over $90 million per year promoting entrepreneurship and encouraging the education of entrepreneurs. The heart of the Entrepreneurial Mind course is material gathered from such entrepreneurial greats as Craigslist founder Craig Newmark and E-Myth author Michael Gerber.
So if you plan on applying then let us know. I have added the questions from the application below and have placed my answers on the link. I’d love to see some dialogue between readers over what we learn. But don’t make the mistake of crossing my inner entrepreneur, because he’s bad. I mean, not the Michael Jackson kind of bad but the King Kong kind.
